REPAIRS DURING SUMMER HOLIDAY (very important)

Our repair engineers will be on holiday between 30 th July and 22 nd August. Last repair collection from JVBrights will be on Monday 26 th July and repaired units will be delivered to JVBrights for collection on Thursday 29 th July. Next collection after the holiday will be 24 th August. Please do not leave any unit there for repair during the holiday since we will not accept any liability for any lost unit.

 
Dropping off and collecting your repaired Cabbie’s Mate unit from JVBrights:

When you drop your unit off at JVBrights for repair, please let them know if you will be away for a while or not able to collect when notified. We are more than happy to delay the delivery to suit you, but once we have delivered, we expect the drivers to collect within 48 hours. This is to avoid any units going missing or getting damaged while they are at the shop. Repairs are usually completed within 3 working days.

For a device inspection, the set fee is £30. Should your device require physical repair this amount will be included in the repair fee and will not be additional.

For those who are not sure of the location, JVBrights is at 47/51 Gt Suffolk St. SE1 0BS the taxi spare parts shop by the canteen and the petrol station.

A-Z Map or POI updates can be done online, at home or at JVBrights (JVBrights will charge an additional £5 for POI update and £10 for A-Z map with POI update for their labour).

We will be providing online support for all Cabbie’s Mate apps and devices during holiday as usual via e mails only.



2017-18 NEW A-Z MAPS ARE NOW AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD
(this is the spring 17-18 edition)

We now update our A-Z maps TWICE A YEAR to keep up with changes. First release is in Spring and the second is in Autumn.

There have been some changes on A-Z maps during 2017. If you have not updated your A-Z maps for a few years, now is the time. A-Z maps update on our Cabbie’s Mate devices come with 3 consecutive free POI updates. This map update is available for 4.3” non BT, 4.3” BT, 5” and the Android 7” units. These can be purchased from our website http://navigationmaster.com/_onlineStore

All iOS iPhone – iPad and Android Cabbie’s Mate SUBSCRIPTION Apps are now using 2017-18 spring edition A-Z maps. If you haven’t still downloaded yet, please do.


New Trace function for 7” Cabbie’s Mate unit:
The new trace function 7” Cabbie’s Mate is now released. Please check your downloads for this free download.

iOS and Android Cabbie’s Mate apps trace function has already been released previously.

From now on, new functions will only be developed for the iOS Cabbie’s Mate app. Android operating system always creates too many problems when developing new functions and it’s not as good as the iOS operating system.


New ‘Report a problem’ facility within the Android Play Store Cabbie’s Mate App:
We have added a new function within the Android Cabbie’s Mate app under the ‘i’ info button. Whenever there is a problem, app related question or help required, please use this function to contact us. When you contact us via this function, it creates an e mail and automatically includes some device information we need to be able to help you quickly and efficiently. If you are contacting us to resolve a problem, please describe the problem in as much detail as possible. Some customers contact us saying, ‘my app does not work properly’ this is not enough information for us to help them quickly and efficiently.

‘Report a problem’ function was already released for iOS Cabbie’s Mate app previously.


Adding our support email to your contact list to make sure you receive our mails
To make sure you receive our response to your email, please add info@navigationmaster.com to your contact list. Otherwise our mails might be deleted by your anti-virus program or go to your junk mail.

Mail (Apple iOS mobile devices)
Add your From email to the address book. Open this message, and tap the From email address. Then tap Create New Contact to input the address in the contacts list.

Gmail (desktop and mobile)
Add your From email to the address book. Open the contact list, click or tap New Contact, and input the address.

Advice on Phone or Tablet Preference for Cabbie’s Mate A-Z app
 
If you are going to purchase a device, our recommendation, based on our experience, would be an iOS device such as the iPhone 6 plus, 6S plus, 7 plus or the iPad. We are better placed to recommend our iOS App as there is only one manufacturer which is Apple and less versions of the operating system to work with. We know that our App works well on iOS. You will need to have a 3G (cellular) iPad for the app to work accurately; you will not need a 3G sim.

Unfortunately we cannot recommend a specific Android device as there are over 18,000 distinct Android devices on the market, device brands and models vary making it difficult for us to predict and recommend which devices and operating systems will be compatible with our app.

It is very likely that the answer to your question is there. If you cannot resolve the issue, then please contact us via email.
